146 CAB2E 0602

Week 2 of this year - that's about 5 weeks old. Your chance of getting a reply? Slim to none I'm afraid. The only way to know is to clock it yourself, sorry.

Probably cos hes using an ancient version of CPUZ, we're on v1.32 now:p

You can't use Registered RAM on S939 can you?

Just ordered a new 146 opteron hoping it will reach 3ghz. My CABNE can get to 2.85 but no higher. I think it will be a CAB2E aswell :)

yup tis an old version of cpuz.

im priming it at 281x10, 300x10 wouldnt prime for more than 2seconds, but im not sure if thats the cpu, board or memory causing it.
more testing needed to find max overclock, (may even swap the cpu to a dfi nf4 and test it in that, to save the hassle finding max oc on this board)

Mine needed more volts initally but seems to require less the longer its run at spped (2.9Ghz @ 1.4v, down from 1.5v when i first OC'd it).

What are your temps like at 2850?

 I wouldnt let it go much above that!

why not? I remember seeing my 2400XP chip got to 60c when it was a sunny day. it toughens em up. (dont blame me if yours sets on fire though!)

Because A64 CPU's are more sensitive to heat and will fall over much quicker when overclocked than XP chips.
