146GB 15K RPM SAS drive replacement

Just a shot in the dark really. But does anyone know whether the Toshiba MK1401GRRB will be okay in a RAID-6 array with Dell (Seagate) ST9146853SS drives? Server is R420 with a H710 Mini.

Both drives are 146GB 15K SAS.

If it is not an 'official' dell disk it might show a warning in dell diag pages or monitoring but it should work fine, we replaced all the drives in an r610 with 2.5" wd blacks with no issues

We have a server with non official hp disks in, flags up warnings that I don't think you can disable. Wish we had legit drives!

You could buy a 'reconditioned' dell disk. Try Lamicro.

I found a company that had some original sealed Dell parts including caddies, so bought 3!
