I do have a sim setup but I play a lot of different sims all in vr. What is the advantage of turning off HT in the bios for the 14900k?
The 9800x3d? They have been 2 post so far in the for sale forums with people selling theirs. Can I have it? OCUK has de-listed it off the website, can't even pre-order it.
everyone seems to say that about vr but we all really know what you are up toIf you have a tuned 14900k (HT off, push p/e/ring) and do some basic tuning on ram, you'd be hard pressed to notice. A 5090 will be a better upgrade esp as high end VR is often GPU bound due to pushing so many pixels.
I do mainly simracing in VR (G2 with Assetto Corsa) and I rather crank up supersampling over anything.

on a serious note I assume you get no motion sickness or weirdness when you stop playing ?
I really could use some advice. I impulse bought the 9800x3d and not sure if I should do the upgrade from my 14900k. The 14900k is great with my 4090 but in vr I was hoping that the 9800x3d would just push the framerates a little more. I mainly play vr and shooters. I'm thinking of just returning the cpu and sticking with the 14900k. Decisions decisions
must be the fixed driving position rather than open worldFunny enough if I try to do normal vr games, I do! But I do 4hr driving stints and not a hint of motion sickness.
