Does such a laptop even exist, well other than a Alienware.. everything gaming seems to be standardly be 15.6" or higher, i would like somthing with abit more portability but i dont wanna go too small either. It seems like 14" would be a perfect size but i cannot find a proper gaming laptop like this anywhere, sure i can find some high spec lappys but there not for gaming thus not having a good gpu.. anyone with any reccomendations

HP envy 14?

Vaio Z series? Although they are 13.3"

Acer 4830tg?

Not really sure if you class all those as high class, but they are certainly decent.

Edit: I should add the alienware 14" is not really 14" in size, it weighs 2.92kg which is more than my 15.6"! :O

i've looked at all 3 of them laptops before but there just not that good in the gpu department, the HP envy looks very nice but the ati 5650 is a pants graphics card, my budget is around £1000, if i cant find a 14" ill settle for the GX660R.. which is a little bigger at 15.6" but u get bang with that one

I have always wanted a decent 13-14" gaming laptop. They don't really exist yet. The m14x is large for a 14" and damn heavy as already mentioned. There is only one laptop that exists in this category but it is not sold outside of korea :( its an LG P330 with nvidia 555m in a 13" 1.7kg package.

I am hoping once the new ivy bridge cpu's are out we may see something decent with an nvidia 640m in the 14" category

Asus N55SF i7 or i5 flavour, with either GT555M or GT635M (Rebadged GT555), GT555M over clocks well, playing MW3 and Skyrim at medium settings res @ native for the laptop (1200*900). Managed to get mine for £540 after tax back and £80 voucher for Christmas :)
