15.4" Photoshop, casual gaming, 3D modelling

I'm soon to enter a 3D animation course in university and would like a laptop.

My requirements:

Intel Core2Duo 45nm 2.4Ghz
Geforce 9600M, equivalent, or slightly better (but has similar battery consumption)
4GB+ RAM
15.4" screen with 1680x1050 res with accurate colours
Blu-ray drive
Decent sound
Decent battery life
Decent appearance and light weight if possible
No premium pricing (eg. Alienware)


Any suggestions?

Dell Precision M4400 - from £889+VAT & Shipping (small business section)
It has a quadro fx770 which is based on the 9600GT but is better at handling 3d work - you may see a small performance drop on games but not by a huge amount.

Any screen can be accurate if you invest in a screen calibrator.

I picked up a Dell XPS 16 with 1920x1080 screen from the Dell Outlet store for ~£550, it's a lovely machine and the screen is awesome for photoshop. You would need to spend a little more to get Blu-Ray.
