Hey guys,

I have my eyes set on the above laptop.
Looking at the 3080 version for £1,999.99
Question I have:-

Is this laptop a Max-Q or not.
On overclockers it shows it as a Max-Q
But...
On ** No Competitors **who also sell same model have in tech specs showing it's not a Max-Q I have spoken to support who also confirmed it's not a Max-Q (probably just look it up in the tech spec on the page)

Can anybody clarify for me who is right & who is wrong?

Ok sorry didn't know about no linking will remove. If it's true they getting rid of max q then why do overclockers use it?

They aren’t getting rid of Max-q, just the branding.

You will need to wait for reviews and see which model has what tgp / power limit. That’s the only way to tell how powerful the card is.

Not great for consumers, but even different Max-p laptops had different power limits. So just knowing If it is was max-q or Max-p didn’t tell you how it compared to other laptops with the same card.

Also, the removal of max-q branding is recent news. So future laptops likely won’t display this detail.
