15.6" or 17.3"

I'm struggling to decide on which to buy between the two sizes.
I think the 17" laptop im looking at is roughly the same size and weight as what my old 15.6" laptop was so it's making it a bit harder to choose as I didn't find it too much of an issue carrying about.

The laptop will be used at work for gaming mostly as I'll be using desktop at home.
It will need to go into a bag and transported/put away every night at work. I won't have access to an external monitor either.

Is 15.6" big enough for daily gaming?

Definite 17.3. I’ve used a variety of different sizes and always preferred the resolution on a larger screen.

17" for gaming every.single.time. Ive a 15" XPS and as nice as it is, I wish it was the same size as my old Acer Nitro 17"er.

Ok perfect. The 17.3" version is the same price as the 15.6" version.

Would you say 30mm is quite thick for a 17" laptop these days?
