15" MacBook Pro dock

Can anyone recommend a docking station for the above MBP?

I hear good things about the 'Henge Dock'. Might be worth looking into that.

I did take a look at these but they have mixed reviews. Mainly about the connectors.

Really wanted a dock for my MBP but it just gets too hot in clamshell mode.

mines for work and its annoying having to keep connecting it up. if it overheats then it goes back to apple to get sorted. a ~£2k laptop shouldn't over heat

They'll say it works absolutely fine and send it back to you untouched...

Plus, i like my laptop silent when playing games or editing and it doesn't do that when under load.

I really like the look of the BookArc Pro by twelve south. It's a bit on the expensive side but none the less looks very nice.

Edit: Sorry, just realised you are looking for more of a dock. None the less a very nice product

There doesn't appear to be many solutions. Surely Apple are missing a trick here to bleed users dry of their monies with their version.

Get a thunderbolt port and get one of the thunder bolt 'docks' Or get the apple display with the built in thunderbolt dock

That is nice... I may have to have a word with my boss as I have so many cables coming from my mac at work its crazy.

I like the look of one of these:

And if you need the 'station' part paired with something like:

Makes it a bit more versatile. As you can use either one without the other or with a different MacBook if you upgraded
at another time.

Looking at docks, I like the Henge Dock, but I'd be worried that when closed it would overheat.

Any others available (that havent been cancelled on kickstarter and available to buy now)?
