hi,

when I had my first pc ( 386) I always played this game.

Basically, you have a screen, and you are in a space ship. on the screen you have monsters, and the way to kill the monsters, is to A) get 80% of the screen done, or destroy the moster after taking a power boost.

Its hard to explain, so I made a very detailed drawing with paint

ok, I know I am not the best Paint user, but I hope someone knows which game it is.

so if you would know which game, that would be great. I am sure it cant be more than 2mb in size ( it used to fit on a floppy) so I should be able to download it somewhere. it was a free game back then.

thanks

EDIT: super detailed picture

So basically, you are the spaceship. by pressing space you can leave you "safe zone" and go into the open area, so you can take more % of the screen. once you leave the "safe zone" monsters can destroy you. if you take one of those power ups, you can gain abilities ( shooting, speed, and stuff, but like crysis )

Sorry Dude but that pic is the Funniest thing i have seen all day so thanks for that but i offer No help in return so Sorry for that.

I think i know what game you're talking about, is the idea to cover the screen by drawing boxes on it, and you move to the next level when you have covered enough of the screen. Enemies can also be killed by drawing round them? That's the game I used to play that sounds most similar anyways :s

I have no idea what game the OP is talking about, but this sounds like the same kind of concept as JezzBall?

Qix? (the DOS version was released in 1989)

I had jezzball aswell, that was slightly different in that you cant destroy the enemies (which were balls, make your own jokes) instead you trapped them.

And I'm sorry but I don't know the name of the OP game, however there's bound to be a million flash rip-offs of it on the net. I had it on a samsung e700 if that's any help :)

Qix was the original, Stix is the Amiga version of the same game, in 1991 Qix Adventure was released for the GBA which added enemies into the game. I guess thats about as close as we can get if its not the right game.

GalPanix was a clone released on the PC in 2004, which is about as modern a version as i can find (contains adult material).
OneFog Xonix is another clone for the PC available as shareware afaik.

Ultimate Qix was released in the 90's for the Megadrive/Genesis which basically matches what your describing., but wasn't available for the pc afaik. Made by Taito.
