I'm after a GPU in the £100-£150 range to replace a 1gb 560ti.

Got a few options

1) £95 RX460
2) £176 RX470 4gb
3) £175 1060 3gb
4) wait for the 1050ti

This is to go in a HTPC so ideally needs a blower style cooler to stop the heat building up. The reference style RX480 seem to have disappeared so that leaves me with the 8gb at £230 which is out of budget, the same goes for the 1060 6gb.

On a side note does anyone have any experience with the OCuk value range of GPUs? The main one in question is the 1060 3gb, how is the noise at idle and load?

Thanks,

Wait for the 1050's I would wait to see what prices they come in at before buying a card in this segment right now.

Don't forget the 1060 is a low power chip 120w? Maybe less for the 3gb model so it won't build up heat in your htpc so you can get a non blower card.

The 1060 3gb does seem to offer the best price/performance ratio at the moment and is also the most power efficient option as well which can only help with the heat build up issue.

I will wait around and see if I can see a second hand 980 or 970 if not I will just go new.

Make sure if you're looking at 1060 reviews they're for the 3GB model not the 6GB as it's a different GPU
