Spec me a card for my new build for £150 quid .

I play on a 1080p monitor that's 42 inch (approx).

So far I have :

Corsair C70 Case .
Corsair CX600 PSU .
Gigabyte Z87-HD3 Motherboard .

On its way is the 4670k i5 Processor .

Need a middle of the road card. Trying not to break my budget of 150 for the card but can sway A LITTLE either way if it helps. I play a lot of demanding games and need something thats gonna stay up to date for some time ... ? Lots of intensive RPG's etc

Thank you ! :D

The 7870 is the best sub £150 card available at the moment, but if you can afford it you will see big gains switching to a 7950 or GTX 670.

The HIS ICEQ BOOST and MSI Twin Frozr 7950's both cost £189, but you can sell the free "Never Settle Forever" games vouchers for ~£20, making them just £20 over budget. GTX 670's also come with the latest Batman (possible Splinter Cell too). A 7950 will be a very good mate for your 4670k.

My vote, but the above listed 7870 is a great card and will easily handle 1080P.

There's lots of tempting budget stretching options like the 7870 le for £165 (uses a 7950 chip). And then the £190 7950 (as above).

Though for £150 you can't go wrong with the 7870 black knight. :)

I would stretch to the 7870XT Tahiti LE personally but the MSI 7870 isn't a bad card at all if you can't.

I was thinking that too but then it's only another £25 to the 7950, which is even more tempting and before you know it you're spending £200 (in shipping). :)

Fantastic, thank you all so much for the advice . If anyone has any more suggestions i'm up for hearing them .

Yeah the trouble is I don't want to go over the top with money hence why I set the budget. Like I said before though I guess I could sway a little eaither way but don't really want to go too close to £200.

There's nothing worth getting between the 7870 LE and the 7950 - I'd try to stretch to the HIS 7950 if you can.
