Any recommendation on what GPU to upgrade to for around £150? My current PC is really struggling to run Oblivion with all these mods.

What resolution do you game at? That CPU probably isn't doing you any favours. I would be more inclined to pick up a second hand S775 Quad.

1680x1050, the main problem with Oblivion is the large number of objects being rendered on the screen at once and the large textures using loads of vram.

HD5850/HD5870/GTX460/HD68xx ~£120-£150 or even cheap GTX280/GTX285 (£60-£100) I still saw increase in performance when upgraded long time ago from HD4870 512mb to GTX280 played on 1920x1080

If it was me it would be a straight choice between the 5850 or GTX 460. Look around and see if there any special deals around

Yes both those two are looking tempting Barzini - although the 5850s seem to be coming rarer at the lower prices.
