Hi

Looking for advice on the best gfx card to get for £150.

My power supply is a Corsair 550watt and I'm not sure if that is going to limit which card I can get.

Thanks :D

Are you interested in variable refresh technology for your display?

If you can stretch your budget by £20, this would be a huge upgrade over your current GPU.

Assuming your CPU specs in your sig are correct, a better balanced choice might be a slightly slower GPU such as this one. You'll be limited by your CPU in most things with a faster GPU.

Thanks, I will do some reading up on variable refresh tech as i haven't been on the market for components for a while.

My signature is my current pc spec, minus my SSD which went kaput last weekend.
My intention is to upgrade my SSD (maybe M.2) and graphics card now and then my Mobo, Cpu and Ram within the next 6 months.

Thanks

If you are going to upgrade the CPU, find an extra £20 and grab a 470. :)

Read this and get yourself a RX 470.

I've just noticed that you're not overclocking your CPU. You should be able to get 3 GHz easily.

When I originally bought my rig I got an Asus p5kc mobo with every intention to OC the cpu and ram but after a couple of years of issues I finally realised my mobo was defective and out of warranty. Friend gave me a stable replacement that I've never looked into OCing with.

Thanks for the replys :p

Unfortunately the £150 price-point has been ditched by both Nvidia and AMD this gen. The choices are to either spend a good bit more or a good bit less. And going down, things don't look so amazing. The 460 struggles to beat the 750ti in many games. Going up, the only option avaiable is a 470. Which isn't so bad, just make sure you choose one with a decent cooler.
