Hi all,

I am really struggling to come across a 150" projector screen with an aspect ration of 16:9. It can be manual or electric.

Any recommendations or do these things not exist in the UK.

Cheers

What you haven't said is the budget. That could well be the issue.

The machines that make the vinyl screen material are fixed width, so they can make screens up to roughly 3m wide. Once you get past that point then you're eaaitehr looking at joining two pieces of vinyl together, which means a seam; or using a continously surface but made on a much larger machine, and so that puts the price up... a lot.

There's also the question of the roller size, case size, and transport for these very long case screens.

What's the budget?

There doesn't seem to be a shortage of 150" 16:9 pull down screens to me? unless the problem is you (they) aren't prepared to pay what they cost for a good one. The cheap ones will be about as useful as putting up a big sheet complete with creases, etc.

You're not wrong there. I've told them a sub £300 projector isn't going to be any good.

We get all our screens from Stumpfl: https://avstumpfl.com/en/projection-screens/roll-up/inline/

Not cheap but top quality.

Thanks for the link, I've suggest we invest properly so will see what I get back.

It's going to be rippletastic unless you spend a small fortune. And you'll need something beefy to light it and factor in the bulb dimming considerably too. 100 - 120" will make your life easier.
