£150 to £200 need to play BF4 as and when available

I am looking for a new best bang for buck card in the £150 to £200 range, I don't care if its an AMD / ATI or Nvidia card.

Requirements, It must be quiet and looking to the future, be capable of playing BF4.

I am running an i7 2600k

the rest of the build always helps, but I would probably say that 280X too.

I would be looking at more than 2GB vRAM

no you wont.

If you can play bf3 fine then you should be fine for bf4.

I would go for 7950 personally. extra 1gb of vram, and can beat a 280x is overclocked.

Get a 7950. Mine tore up the Battlefield 4 beta on ultra. (Clocks are in my signature)

i would be on the look out for a 7970/280X

for the sake of £20-30 i wouldnt get a slower card

280x gets my +1, although a 7950 wont leave you wanting for more.

Thanks for all the response, basically my initial budget od £150/£200 is blown, it looks like I need to think about a 280.

One question prior to me buying, is there anything about to be launched that I should wait for????

Possibly the 280 non-X, but I would guess it's likely to be a rebadged 7950. Everything else is going to be out of budget (290, 290X, 780Ti).

At your budget and with Mantle being implemented shortly after release the HD7950 is a no brainer.
