Your m.2 card seems a little on the low capacity side - go for as large as you can afford.

As gaming is secondary, get yourself an IPS or VA monitor and don't worry about 144 Hz. TN is also not good for graphical work. And 27" IMHO is too big for a 1080p monitor - get a 4K or 1440p monitor instead. Indeed, with Windows scaling a 24" 4K monitor in portrait mode may be just the ticket. I'm typing this on such a monitor. OTOH if you do want 144 Hz, you may have difficulty driving that with a GTX 1060 and should go for the 1070 instead.

You might also consider two monitors: one for gaming and one for work.

Thanks Quartz.

I was thinking the same thing about two monitors for gaming and work - is it easy to set up and switch between them?

I might switch down to 2 24" monitors if so.

On the m.2 card front, I know little about them and thought they just needed to be big enough for the OS. I take it I am wrong.
