Hi guys, this is what I'm looking at buying (already got keyboard, mouse + speakers). Let me know if it looks ok.

Case: Akasa Eclipse 62 + fans
PSU: FSP Epsilon 600W
Mobo: Gigabyte 965P-DS4 / MSI 975X PowerUp Edition
CPU: Core 2 Duo E6400 OEM
HSF: Freezer 7 Pro
RAM: 2GB GeIL 6400 Ultra
GPU: HIS Radeon X1900XT
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.10
Audio: X-Fi Platinum
DVD-RW: Pioneer 111D
OS: XP Home

Monitor: Dell 2007WFP

Cheers

Thanks for the quick replies, I did consider the E6600 but with quad core coming soon I thought I might as well save a bit back since I'm upgrading from an XP2200+ so the E6400 will be plenty fast enough til then.

Still haven't decided on the mobo yet but since I'm getting the GeIL I might go for the Gigabyte as long as it will support Kentsfield.

Should I stick with the X1900XT or buy an EVGA 7900 GT SC because of their tradeup program in case G80 comes out? Just a thought.

Also, any opinions on a case? Eclipse, PC-7 or P180 (bearing in mind I'm a new builder). Cheers.

I don't think the DS3 or DS4 will support Kentsfield. I thought it was only the DQ6.

Cheers for that fenderbass, might just have made my mind up there. I'm hoping to order it all today to cheer myself when I get back from the hospital :p

Hi guys, I'm still finalizing my spec. I've narrowed my mobo choice to the MSI PowerUp or the ASUS P5B.

Anyone reckon it's worth paying £30 more to get a cooler, less power-hungry 7900GTX instead of an X1900XT since people seem to be having a few problems with ATi cards right now?
