Good evening all,
I want to spend about £1500 on a nice gaming PC. As long as it'll play Dawn of War and Medievel 2: Total War well, I'll be happy.
I've never even owned a PC before, so I don't think overclocking is the right thing to do straight away. Therefore I was hoping I'd be able to get away with the stock coolers on everything.
So here's my shopping list! Any suggestions?
CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
Mobo - Asus P5B Deluxe
GPU - 512MB Sapphire Radeon X1900XTX Toxic
HDD - 300GB Maxtor DiamondMax 10
Memory - 2GB Corsair TwinX Pro PC6400 (800)
PSU - 580w Hiperpower Type-R Modular Black
Monitor - 19" Viewsonic VX922
Case - NZXT Nemesis Elite Black
Throw in a mouse, keyboard, other gubbins and a copy of XP Home, and the grand total comes to around £1,460.
So, are there any suggestions on this build plan?
Thanks a lot,
Niall.
