Hi guys and girls

This is my first time posting on Overclockers. I am looking for advice on a pc build since the last time I built a pc was way back in 2008, so as you can image I am a bit out of the loop .

Anyway I am posting here as I have a budget of £1500 to make myself a nice gaming pc and a separate budget of up £500 for the monitor.

I would like to have a large enough case to fit a second graphics card if I need one in the future , I also have a keyboard and mouse so will not be needing those.

I rather nvidia then amd but if the amd build is that good I go for it :). I would also like a fan base built as never done water cooling and be worry that I may do something wrong. I happy with any colours but if people want to have fun then I think white and red together be fun or yellow and white.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and thank you again :D

cool I do not mind waiting two week or so :) . Also I think I may have writing post wrong I got £1500 for the built and then once I get pay I add up to another £500 for the monitor so in total I have £2000 to spend sorry for any confusion

It was clear to me. :)

Just noticed a problem with the second spec in Danny's post.. The DVD drive won't fit in the case. :)

I was thinking something more along these lines. :)

But as i say, wait for the Haswell Refresh. :)

nice build will wait as you said :)

It been just under 2 week so any update on build. I also Want to know is It worth the wait for early june for the unlock version of new refresh and if so how much more do I need to add to budget .

Thanks again for all the help :D I am geting rather exited now to build mine pc

The Haswell Refresh are out now :) seem overclocker started selling them on 13th but just not the unlock one yet.

I really like doomedspeed choice and will go with it but just wanted to know since the haswell refresh and z92 chipset out if there anything I need to change to it before ordering :).

I really like danny75 onces as well :)

sorry for dragging this back up again but really wanted to see what people think I should get now new chip up for pre ordering :D. Yet again thanks in advance .

thank you all for all the builds :) .Amd look nice but just been biting a bit to much by them in the pass not saying they not change thought .

was thinking of holding of till September for dd4 but if I play that game I always be holding off for something new :P. So think I go with Doomedspeed build :). I read a lot that the case does not have good airflow but also once tinker with it is fine . Plus I also like the look of the case :)

Thanks again so much for all the advice :D .It so nice to have a forum were you can ask for help and not feel like a noob.

That now ever thing order apart from the monitor and I will get that Tuesday once I am paid :)

Well a box and case came with all the parts but not the cpu what been order and monitor what will get done on Tuesday :) .I ended going for 16gb of ram as I work a little extra this month and it a nice safety blanket incase I decided to add stuff.

Just one last question really is would it be ok to put another one of those 780ti down the road if I wanted to or felt I needed to (Hopefully I not need to however).

Yet again thanks for all the help :D you guys have really help me .

Sure do it once I finish this shift (be around 7pm) and can get on a pc but in short it was the basket you did but just went with 16gb of the same ram. If anything needs to change it cool as husband decided he want a desktop instead of new laptop so if parts need to be change then the part we got can go to making his pc (so tempted to get his motherboard now with the offer on of that one with free ram) .

we had to open some of the item boxs as the big box they came in look like it had taken a bit of a bashing. lucky after looking it look like just the parts boxes took the hits and mainly the motherboard box .

Thats good news.

Im glad you're happy with you're purchases (and you went with my spec).

Yeah that 1000W PSU will easily accomodate 2 x 780ti's. :)

Ahh that cool then was just worry with the 780ti I went with there be a temp problem if I was to put in another :)

Yet again thanks for all the help

Ok so here pic of what the box look like .

Everything else look ok will take case out to look tomrw . Still not sure if I should talk to overclocker as board does look ok .I have however order another motherboard just in case there damage I could not see .If this board is ok other board or this one can go to making husband pc ( got the one that comes with free 8gb of ram just now so that mean do not need to get some for his build )

I'd have a word with OCUK for sure, Even if its just a chat about it. They may accept to take it back if there is any issues; after installation.

So you got a Gaming 7 too, Good shout, what an epic deal that is. :)

Rang them quick and they said they be ok taken back if any issues after installation :) .

I could just not say no to that deal :)

sorry I not put pic or project log up yet not really had a day off to do so however that it now made :) just need the lights in and that it.

I have not however got monitor yet and I thought i ask here instead of making a new topic should I still go with AOC Q2770PQU 27" Widescreen LED Monitok or is it worth going for the Acer XB270HA 27" G-Sync 144Hz Gaming Widescreen LED Monitorthat on a re order offer just now.

I using mine old monitor just now so if the Acer better can just use old one till it out :). Any adivce would be great :D.

As for the machine it self it great and people keep complimenting it so thanks again .
