Then you don't need to spend 1500 quid. If it's normal "office" movie and dvd playback something around 600 quid will do, unless you want a large screen. 15.4", 17" or 20"?

Basically it will be a desktop replacement. Not worried about the money side of things, just want the best spec available for the money in order to help future proof. High resolution is also important.
