£1500 to spend on a notebook

What would be your recommendations....

Would mainly be for general use but with some Wavelab and Music Production software too.

Possibility of a Mac but want to know what PC based laptops you would recommend....

Looked at Asus and they only seem to come with Intel integrated AGP and they have small screens.

Acer look quite tasty !!
