~£1500 upgrade

So my old rig starts throwing BSOD`s every now and then and low fps in games. So I feel like it`s time for some fresh bits and bobs. I have about £1k for the hardware upgrade . And I have to fit both the hardware and a nice monitor (4k or a G-sync) into ~£1500.

my current system
q9950, 580GTX(3GB), 8GB DDR3, Asus Rampage Extreme Intel X48

I`m keeping the case, 4 x hdds, 2 x ssd`s, Enermax 1Kw PSU, and antec h20 920 cooler.
I am intel and nvidia biased. Any suggestions guys?
