150mm Fans

Hi guys. I have an Antec case that has 3 150mm 3 speed case fans fitted.

The only way I have of controlling their speed is the 3 way switch attached to each one which is a hassle to change.

I realise I can get a fan controller but even that is manually operated.

Ideally I want all my fans to be controlled via the motherboard.

The existing fans dont have a speed sensor cable so I am looking to replace all of them and add a fourth fan to the system.

To that end I am looking for 4 150mm fans that will vary their speed via control from the motherboard.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Best regards

Martyn

150mm case fans that is a rare size cant see i have seen any i thin you gonna have probs finding them what case is it that you have cause the one antec ones listed on here say they have 120mm fans one has a 200 in *** top but thats it

Ive only seen 120mm, 140mm and 200mm. The latter 2 are like hens teeth (For choice anyway). Which case do you have? If its the Antec 900, the fans are 120mm on the front and back, and the top is a 200.

You know your right, I took one of the fans to a local retailer and he said it was bigger than anything he stocked "that looks like a 150mm fan" try overlockers he said

I was led to believe that the size of the fan depended on the centres between the mounting holes which is indeed 150mm ish.

Yet as you say, my case according to the specs contains 120mm fans.

The guy was obviously a fool and so was I for listening :D

Anyway, problem solved and thanks.

well those are 80mm for starters.

but if you wanted a fan to control the fan speed according to temperature. then these although a little expensive, seem perfect for you.

Yes, clever dick I know that is an 80mm fan but if you look to the right it shows it is available as 120mm as well :p

Anyway, thanks for taking the time to research this blackhawk and I entirely agree with you, that would be a good simple option. I'll get some ordered right away.

Thanks to all those who replied I was quite surprised by the amount of help offered, it is much appreciated ;)

yes, you can control case fans with your MB, providing it has enough spare 3 pin connectors. I currently have the system exhaust connected to the MB and the inlet on a zalmann fan mate, i am currently in the process of ordering one of the small xilence fan controllers and hooking all my fans into that
