So I have never built a PC before and am hoping to build one for gaming. I have resorted to asking for any tips and advice on what to do. I'm not sure on what the best things for such a low budget could be. If anyone could put forward some good recommendations and maybe even a shopping list lol. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks

AMD Ryzen 7 5700X Eight Core 4.6GHz (Socket AM4) Processor - Retail - £229.99
PowerColor Radeon RX 6700 Fighter 10GB GDDR6 PCI-Express Graphics Card - £329.99
Gigabyte B550 Gaming X V2 (AMD AM4) B550 ATX Motherboard - £112.99
Team Group Vulcan Z T-Force 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 PC4-25600C16 3200MHz Dual Channel Kit - Grey - £89.99

Arctic Liquid Freezer II High Performance CPU Water Cooler - 240mm - £79.99
Lian Li Lancool 205 Midi-Tower Case - Black Window - £65.00
Seasonic Focus GX-750 750W 80+ Gold Modular Power Supply - £94.99

WD Blue SN570 1TB SSD NVME M.2 2280 PCIe Gen3 Solid State Drive (WDS100T3B0C) - £79.99

Grand Total: £1,096.13

Options to get under budget:
- 5600 or 5600X instead (but should pay more like £150, not the £200 OCUK stock the 5600X for!)
- 16GB instead of 32GB
- RX 6600 instead of RX 6700
- Lower wattage PSU
- cheaper case
- half-decent air cooler instead of AIO

This is very good advice.

I really would stick with the 5700X for an AMD build.

Intel is an option and I’m sure people can create a build for you. I would but I’m currently on the beach!

For gaming the 5600x/5600 trails the 5700x by a pretty small amount in most* games.
If it were me I'd go with a 5600, use PBO and save myself about £80 to put towards other stuff. Only get 16GB as well and you've got a good chunk towards a better GPU

Yes but the 2 extra cores gives it extra poke for the next while.

Not saying 6 cores won’t manage but I’d still rather have 8.

Corsair Vengeance LPX Black 16GB (2x8GB) 3600 MHz AMD Ryzen Tuned DDR4 Memory Dual Kit

£65

If you want to go 16gb, faster memory, better for Ryzen. :)
Are you going to play much of Microsoft flight sim because 16gb well enough otherwise.
