Hi All
As the topic header states, gave myself a budget of £1600 for a new 65 inch TV.
I would love OLED or similar standard, passthrough for dolby atmos, dolby vision would be preffered although not a total must, earc also.
Thinner the better for wall mounting, wouldn't mind having google TV built in, I use netflix, disney+, prime and run some stuff via Emby
I'm not stuck on any make, although I have an LG soundbar with sub and wireless rears, as long as it works with that I would be good.

Many Thanks

If not too fussed about Dolby Vision then I'd go for the 65" Samsung S95B. If have a TV you can trade in even if you buy a broken one from Facebook market or eBay etc, it can be had for £1579. If you have a perks work thing it can be had for £1500. Can in invite you to one if you don't for the discount.

Same goes for Panasonic, can get a TX-65LZ980B for £1600 instead of £1900.

Otherwise other option would be to go for LG C14LB

If not bothered about Dolby Vision then I'd personally go for the Samsung, if you aren't going to game then I'd for for the Panasonic if you do want Dolby Vision. If plan to game I'd do the LG. Hit me up on message if you do need codes etc.

I did see and read a few reviews about the 90b, which I’ve read is virtually the same as the 95b apart from the external connection box is that right?
So yeah the 95b ticks the boxes for me.
Is that through a specific website that the discounts are applicable?

Thanks for your advice.

An extra £100 but sign up for VIP (free) and you get a £699 soundbar and subwoofer free.

I have the 55" version and it's an absolutely stunning TV.

No Dolby Vision though.

Directly from Samsung, which does have the 5 year warranty.

I'd probably just pay the extra and go Richer Sounds though tbh for the 6 year warranty and better customer service. Sure you could flog the soundbar for £200/300 anyway.

That's the QE models 90b and 95b models which are QLED are completely different, but yes 95 has the control box. The S95B is like the hybrid oled and qled combined so the latest technology and better than both of them.

I'd probably go for Panasonic oled tbh. Lg c9 is good but motion on Panasonic's supposed.to be better

Not Samsung no way.

Samsung is fine if you don't mind not having Dolby Vision. At the price it's at, its a steal. I have the Panasonic 65" LZ1500 myself but that's running £1900 with the discount which has the master panel, the TX-65LZ980B doesn't have it. If I had a choice of the 3 I mentioned then I'd go for the Samsung, if you can push the budget then I'd go for the LZ1500.

I've had Samsung before,.they're just low quality TVs.

Panasonic the perfect "cinema" TV. Accurate out of the box. Bright panel with heatsink. Supports all HDR formats from DV to HDR10+ and passes through all HD sound formats lossless via eARC (Atmos & DTS-X). It's why I went for the 65JZ1500 last year.

I generally only use Oleds but I brought my dad the 65" samsung Qled (£1100). Since recently passing I have installed it into my bedroom and I have to admit that it is pretty good better than I expected for a non oled. Gaming menu is pretty good and no pc lag either, hdmi 2.1 earc.

i know you said for £1600

but if you can stretch your budget please look at the Sony 65 A95K OLED

i have just bought one and had it professionally ISF calibrated (after 200 hours run in) and its simply stunning

there are various cash back offers from some retailers

it has replaced a £7K Loewe - blows it out of the water

apologies because it was above your budget?
