but when I power on the pc the card lights up and the fans spin but it only goes to the American megatrends splash screen and after a while it restarts ! I cant even get into the bios , but with the onboard graphics and my old GTX 670 I can and get to desktop ! ive also managed to try it in a test rig but that does the same boots to onboard gpu but the bios doesn't see it on that one ?

ive even tried didferent power cables just in case , ive got a 750w corsair modular psu , i7 3770k 16gig ram on windows 7 (I know its old)

please please any help and advice would be amazing , thank you in advance :)

If you've tried the card in two different rigs, with presumably two different PSU's, and it doesn't work in either, then you've already answered your own question.

RMA time, in other words.

Are you plugging your cable directly into the GPU as opposed to the motherboard?

Plus older motherboards, definitely need to be on the latest bios revision or the GPU will not work.

Which make and model of motherboard? Based on your hardware, it is a old motherboard... Check the motherboard support page... My guess it will work, just update the bios from the support page (use a fat32 formatted USB stick, unzip the update)
