Hello Chaps ;)

Just bought a Belinea 22" WideScreen Monitor from OC last week but i have a problem.

It says it's Native mode is 1680x1050. My X800 card should handle it well as i had 1600x1200 on my old CRT monitor. However when i push the Res to 1680x1050 on my WinXP desktop i have to move my mouse around to see the remaining area of the screen as it doesn't fit ?

I have downloaded the Mon Drivers from Belinea's Website ( Belinea 2225 S1W ) & it shows up ok in Display Properties & also in Device Manager.

When i play any games I can only see a portion of the screen & again have to scroll the mouse to see the rest.

The Max Res i can take it to is 1440x900 & then everything looks fine but i'm still missing the remaining area.

How do i fix this ? Is this something to do with 4:3 & 16:9 ? I really don't understand these ratios.

BTW i use ATI Tray Tools. I hope someone can help me fix this :D

Sounds to me like the graphics card is set to a total desktop size larger than the displayed size, which is acting as a "window" on the full desktop, which you can scroll around with the mouse.

Is everything pin sharp? If so then I suspect the card is outputting 1680x1050 but is using a desktop of 1920x1200 (or similar) and allowing you to pan around in. If things are a bit fuzzy then it'll be driving the monitor at a lower res. Check the settings on the graphics card and disable any funky desktop manager software or drivers you may have.

You are 100% Correct :D

I went into my ATI CCC & Under the Monitor Properties & Attributes the Max Res was set to 1600X1200. I chose 1680X1050 & now all is sweet again.

Many Many Thx :D :D :D
