16bit Win 3.1 software on Windows 8 64bit

Anyone got a way to run an old early 90's piece of software on Windows 8 in 64bit mode without the need to dual boot?

I haven't tried it before but I presume you could just run it like any other VM.

I would install Windows 3.1 in DOSBox by following this guide.
