16GB Memory Help

Hi, I checked the spec on your OCZ ram and voltage is 1.65v, the Corsair is 1.5v.

You could undervolt the OCZ RAM to match the Corsair, but suspect it won't run at 1333 speed.

Personally I would abandon trying to match this memory as you won't find 1333 memory thats 1.65v. Instead I would source either a 8GB or 16GB kit in 1600 speed, then sell on your remaining memory.

One of these would be my bet

There is another option. You could buy this Kingston 1333 memory that has an upper voltage of 1.55v. Then set your OCZ to 1.55v in the hope it still runs at 1333. But this is not guaranteed so it's just trial and error.

not to put too big a spanner in the works, but your mobo only supports:
512mb, 1gb, 2gb, 4gb sticks.

dont be buying 8gb sticks cause they wont work.
to get 16gb on that mobo u need 4x4gb

Pick a colour... 1600mhz duel packs
Red
Orange
Gold (out of stock)

adz7777, after posting I noticed your motherboard only supports 1600 memory when overclocked. I don't know anything about overclocking AMD chips, but check you can support 1600 memory. Otherwise that Kingston memory is good quality and will be fine.

adz7777, I have owned that 1333 Kingston memory above since 2010. It's been really solid memory, that memory is fine.

Set memory voltage at 1.5v, however it should run at less but try 1.5v first.

Also now your choosing this memory, it's worth seeing if your OCZ ram can also be used to make 12gb. But make sure the computer is stable on the new ram for at least a week first.

Finally when handling the memory hold it by the sides, never touch the gold contacts with your hands.
