Just about to buy all the goodies for my new rig, and last bit is some ram.

I will have an i3570, and I would like to pair it with 16GB ram. I run a few VM's, and would like the headroom to upgrade to 32GB at a later date if need be - this means preferably going 2x8GB rather than 4x4GB.

I have my eye on TeamGroup Elite 16GB (2x8GB).

There is also Avexir MPower Series 16GB (2x8GB) , but I've never even heard of that brand.

Any other options, or am I good to go with these?

Avexir have a youtube channel, some of the RAM looks pimp,

The effect might be some what lost if you don't fill all the dimm slots.

RAM being RAM, it just tends to either work or it doesn't and is faulty.

You get a lifetime warranty with all of them (I certainly haven't seen RAM without lifetime warranty yet)

No Lifetime Warranty.

Sorry for a quick thread hijack... but all other things being equal does it make any difference running 2 8Gb sticks or 4 4Gb sticks?
Other than the obvious that I can't upgrade to 32gig down the line if I decide too...

I'd quite like to know this too. I have 16GB on the way in the form of 4x4GB sticks. Thanks :)

I'd hazard a guess at the 4x4gb sticks will be overall faster than 2x8gb sticks.

Not that you'd notice it though.

I'm pretty sure that 2x8 will be quicker marginally as you are only using a single channel, meaning the cpu can spread the load slightly (not sure if it works like this).

I can say that when I use 8gb (2x4), its slightly quicker than populating all slots (4x4).
