Could someone explain me HOW can i have 16GB of memory on a new AM2 board?
This was stated in the asus M2N mobo

Memory: Four DDR-DIMM sockets (up to 16 GB up to DDR2-800/PC2-6400).

I've only ever seen 1GB sticks?!!

Where are these 4GB ones then? and who sells them!

Thanks,

right, i knew that.

well from the asus site i got this

Dual channel memory architecture
4 x DIMM, max. 8GB, DDR2-800/667/533, ECC and non-ECC, un-buffered memory

Again, using 2Gb sticks?

Im very confused!

Al,
a lot of manufactures make 2Gb and upwards sticks... but they're not generally good for desktop machines ;)

more for servers etc...
