I am looking at upgrading my 17" Dell monitor (it is a 4:3 1280 X 1024 max res thing which came with my computer when I bought it) and was wondering if I could get some advice.
I don't have vast sums of money to spend, so was looking at the 23" Viewsonic VP2365wb. (http://www.viewsonic.com/products/desktop-monitors/lcd/pro-series/vp2365wb.htm) That £200 price range would be perfect for me. I am concerned however that my 512MB 8800 GT would baulk at running games at the native res for that monitor, and I HATE running stuff below native res as it look hideous. (I would rather turn off AA and AF and turn texture / shadow settings down, and run the game at native res)
Has anyone got any thoughts? If not the Viewsonic, then perhaps a slightly smaller one? Maybe a monitor in the res bracket. Any recomendations?
