Its 17 years today since 96 Liverpool fans lost their lives supporting their team.

For those of us who remember it Im sure will spare a sombre thought today as we take our seats on the terraces.
It could have been any one of us.

For those that were too young , loads of good info here including a disturbing video of the tragedy http://www.contrast.org/hillsborough/history/index.shtm

And here is the home page of the justice campaign http://www.contrast.org/hillsborough/home.shtm

Not one person at the FA , Sheffield Wednesday FC , the police or the local council lost a days pay over the deaths.

The government and the FA also use this as a sickening scapegoat to hide behind when refusing to bring back standing terraces.
If you read the background of the disaster and the two reports by Lord Justice Taylor , this simply isnt the case.

Check out the campaign for safe standing here - http://www.standupsitdown.co.uk/

RIP lads and lasses , this fella will toast a pint to you this afternoon.
