the daily question youv'e probably answered many times:

i have exactly £170 to spend on a graphics card, now i am left with a dilema (spelling?) after looking at the new this week only
do i get the x1900 xt (what i was intending to get) or that 7900GTO in this week only??

i play games on a 22" CRT at 1600*1200 with as much candy on as possible, only need it for games

If the X1900 is the 512Mb one then get that. If not go for the 7900GTO

The X1900XT 256MB is faster than the 7900GTO512MB out of the box, even at high resolutions.

They both overclock well.

They are currently priced about the same.

Get the X1900XT as it is the faster card & thus more value for money. Especially if you play first person shooters or games like Oblivion & the upcoming Gothic3.

7900gto is faster than the x1900xt 256mb.

its the 256meg x1900xt, that and the 7900GTO are both almost the identical price this week, thanks for that firingsquad review, anyone who was pimping the 7900GTO got a review of it beating the x1900xt 256meg?
