£1750 set up, anything wrong/possible to improve?

Two or three things.

1) thats an expensive GFX card, there are cheaper GTX980s

2) try and get the Avexir golden blitz RAM, tighter timings and the glow from the heatsink matches the motherboard.

3) EVGA G2 is a superflower made PSU and cheaper, but you dont get free delivery on the whole basket like you do with a superflower PSU. But check how much shipping is and then compare the difference on PSU prices.

you can get 2 GTX970 for that price

970 in SLI > 980

I have one of those. Very nice card but 980s start at £430 for a inno3D or the Zotac amp etc.

GTX 970 SLI is better value. The Galax cards give you free delivery.

Id get 1 970 gtx atm - they may be coming out with a 980TI or faster in the near future ...
I expect the 980 to drop a fair amount if that is the case.

oh I like the idea of a corsair 450d also - I have a lian li and have had them for awhile - but its just too small and the panels leak a bit of dust

How often are you going to use that DVD drive? You might consider an external USB one which you can put away to protect it from dust.
