my powercolor x850xt agp after some gameplay starts to artifact. (happens only in games - never in windows so far). Any ideas? everything stock, from the box to the slot. thanks :(

edit: I got qtec psu btw and I was thinking maybe is power problem. but the 5V is stable at 5.14 ( just measured with electronic voltmeter from the 20pin)

ahh I was ready to send mine back, but as I am not in the UK atm and it will need 2-3 days to go back to OCuk and then another 2-3 back to me I wanted to be sure. But since you know from experience I think I must send it also :(

Yea, already browsing OCuk for PSU but I dont have time for research atm due a lot workload. I just know I need a PSU with solid stable voltages .. even if its wooden :p you got my point.

the fact that the card artifacts "occasionally" made me unsure if its fragged memory tho. but I guess its randomly occuring when the specific fragged memory segment is accessed.

Card is a month old and I am a very clean person when it comes to my PC parts , but yes I removed the card and checked it out. Yes, the first time I saw artifacts my thought went directly on heat, but after some trial and error I get randomly artifacts on temps of 60-75C (which is extremely low from the reference working point of these cards). I also used voltage meter to make sure the voltage doesnt drop on load.

Well maybe the on board temp sensor is fragged and diplays wrong measurements, but again since the card is stock and designed to work as it is it shouldnt have problems since the fan is still spinning.
