I hate animal extremists. I really do. Do they think that very highly paid intelligent scientists would continue to test animals if there was an immediate alternative method available? There aren't. Live test subjects are necessary, and this is deemed so by the vast majority of people with experience/degrees in the field they work in.

What really annoys me about the Oxford scenario, was that (afaik) it was going to test/produce MMR vaccines. Thus live test subjects are required in this process. If some guinea pigs die, then I really don't care;

I'm not a parent, but when I am, I try to get the vaccines to protect my children from 1) the diseases themselves and 2) the threat of long term complications that these diseases could bring about.

That woman stood outside the construction site in Oxford, screaming utter rubbish at the well-spoken, intelligent woman who dared challenge her, not letting her get a word in edge ways. What a repulsive, idiotic excuse for a human being. Shouting things like "why are you covering your faces? What are you afraid of?" at the construction workers; what the hell have they done? What does shouting at police, intimidating anyone and everyone they think might be linked to animal research in the most vague way, do to help their cause?
 
What really makes me laugh is they think their helping the animals by acting like this but their damaging their country and the animals.

India and china have some of the world’s best scientists and research laboratories ready and able to take over the programs in a matter of weeks. Lower costs and weak, un-enforced laws means it’s a dream land for drug firms.

I echo that and always say the very same thing whenever this topic comes up.
 
Well there are always people that believe that animals should be set free to roam the wilds, they tend to forget that half of the species wouldnt exist if it wasnt for human intervention.

What got me was the story a while back where activists exhumed the remains of someones parents because they owned and operated a farm for animals used in testing. How people like that claim any sort of moral high ground is quite beyond me.
 
Yep i was watching this. Made me very angry. Especially that woman who said she would suicide bomb HLS and if people died they deserved it. She will happily murder humans but feels so strongly about animals. How you can value animals over humans is beyond me. And she kept that poor suffering dog with a spinal problem! It should be put down and have to live that terrible life!
 
what u do is, tell them that you have a new drug that will save millions... thing is, it hasnt been tested on any animal...

it has passed all the computer simulations they go on about and the cells in the petri dishes dont seem to die....

they have a family member who will be saved from this new drug... the question is, do they feel lucky?.... do they?... or will their views suddenly change....

those activists are utter morons.... if it wernt for animal testing there will not be any new medical advances... period... no computer simulation on the planet exists that can adequately model an animal just because there are so many things we dont know....
 
I saw it. These people are freaks and they need to deal with life! Like, actually get one with their own life instead of ruining others. Such low life trash.
 
I missed the program but i have to admit that these people are absolute idiots and i feel that the title "animal acivist" is just a cover for these people to terrorise others and not to be seen as the bad guy.
 
Maybe we should all terrorise them back in their own homes....Oh wait the justice system did already with 12 years imprisonment for one of them.

Those people as some have rightly pointed out are nothing but morons, freaks and totally mad. Like i said before in SC, their policies will never sell in africa.
