http://www.lafeeabsinthe.com/ - this site will tell you all you need to know, plus you can order it from there.

FAQ - http://www.lafeeabsinthe.com/absinthefaq.php

Long been a bookmark of mine. Frequently used when people ask me how to drink it then for some reason want proof as towards the gibberish I spout, ie. sugar/spoon etc.

Though it usually degenerates into everyone saying sod it, lets just neck a few before town. Even when that happens, turn out to be a very cheap and very good night ;) :D

Tesco sell it, but the stuff we get in the UK has a weaker concentration of the hallucinogenic (Wormwood) than you get elsewhere.

Nice one, cheers buddy.

ASDA do it, but its no where near the real stuff (i had czech stuff).

I live about 3 minutes walk from West Bridgfords Asda superstore. I'll take a wander tomorrow morning.

It's legal in the UK, wormwood et al. Never been illegal, just never been that popular.

Hmmm, wonder where ym mates got that idea from then?

Absinthe itself definitely isn't illegal as you can buy the weak stuff (60%, was actually quite nice) in supermarkets normally. Don't know about the stronger stuff. Had some horrible red 80% absinthe once which came from spain I believe..

Cheers bud.

The stuff I just finished off was some Cannabis Absinthe (Dons, it wasn't cannabis), rather, it was Cannabis scented. Pointless. Was only 72% but did the job very well. I had a bottle that was 75%, but that's getting silly. 70~75 would be perfect. 60% just isn't Absinthe to me, but would still work ;)

First of all tesco's sell La Fee. La Fee has the highest possible wormwood concentration that is legal in Europe, of 10mg/litre.

Second of all, Look online for absinth, since the stuff mostly available here just doesn't cut it.. Bar's usually do Sebor, or weak La Fee.

Look for Hapsburg Red (85%)!
and also a czech absinth called Staroplzenecky. AWESOME all round, not aniseed tho, a bitter wormwood.

Other than that Hills, La Fee and most Hapsburgs are fine quality if you can find them. ESPECIALLY Hills :D

Ahaaa, so might be worth trying La Fee? I'm going to buy some online most definitely, just I need some for tomorrow and I don't think anywhere will be able to do that, unless they offer local collection. Any idea where to purchase Hills from locally? Or is that an online jobbie?

Good work! To be honest, I'd be OK without the wormwood hallucinogenic. Tbh, considering my line of work/studies, that's something I really shouldn't get into, it's purely the taste and alcoholic content that gets me. Though there is no doubting that it is the hallucinogens that probably make our nights somewhat more interesting.

What the hell?

Wish I could drink absinthe on monday nights... angry mumbling...

Every other week we get Tuesdays off, as my labs alternate. We don't get much spare time on our course, so we make the most of it when we can :D

We have it our tesco shockingly expensive for the size of the bottle 70% abv iirc

How much is that? Just about to leave once I've handed this report in and take a trip to Asda as my mates got to get a few bits, so I'll scout that place out in the meantime.

is good and all, but you really want to hook yourself up with a pipe!

i went to a catering exhibition the other year, and the stand (sebor absinthe) were *cough* forcing *cough* us to drink it. you put crushed ice in the bulb, top it up with absinth, and pull it through the finely crushed ice. this too is a very pleasureable way to drink it.

oh, anybody tried the black absinthe??

EDIT: damn. just had a look on the site at the prices £58 per bottle. i have been ordering it straight from the woman (the one at the show) for £22 delivered. i think if i had to pay full wack i would not be drinking so much of it :D

Ahaaa, I might have to try it that way. Cheers for the advice buddy!

Thanks mate - I think it will suffice. We managed without last night, but it was still a very drunken night.

Bought some la fee with spoon for £37inc delivery. Initially was going to cost £42, but they have a 15% offer during January.

Going to buy some King of Absinthe soon though.

Think il just stick to the old psilocybin's

Indeed. The research I've been involved in with regards to this particular class has shown very low / little toxic effect in the lab. Saying that, it's not just the toxicity you have to worry about, it's all the associated problems that go with it. ie. what happens to you whilst on a trip, not the pharmacodynamics, more so what you could physically do. Though, I am sure you more than aware of this ;)
