Well! I've just found one of my old hard drives from 13 years ago in a box of bits at my dads.

A Fujitsu MPE3173AE.

I'm hoping to find a ide - sata converter when I get home,

Just wondering if i might be able to pull some ramblings of a 12 year old off it, or anything?

What ya reckon, pointless venture or has anyone had success doing the same?

I can't remember what this drive came from so it could be knackered though...

*edit*

This probably should be in the storage bit tbh... Forgot about that...

Saying that 17gb is hardly storage =/

Worth a go for the sake of some nostalgia.

I found some really naff adapters when I was transferring data from my IDE drives to sata drives about 5-6 years ago, none were anywhere near as good as a mobo with IDE and sata ports.

I have got a mobo with an ide port, and a processor too to fit it.... Somewhere. It's in an old 'tiny' pc i got given (i know, I know, but it was free) i wonder if it would take much to get it all going!?
