£180 for CPU and Mobo, which ones?

£150 for CPU and Mobo, which ones?

I have about £150 to spend on a CPU/Mobo combo (already have DDR3 Ram etc).

Needs to have onboard GPU, for now. Which combo would be the best for performance / value, Intel or AMD?

PC will be used for Photoshop work, general PC stuff, nothing very taxing, maybe Combat Arms and thats it. Thanks

Personally, I'd go AMD Athlon II X4/880G. I'd only go i3/H55/H57 if I was going to clock.

Around £150, ish £180 is a top figure for me.

Was thinking of doing a Mini ITX next. Will a Mini ITX mobo fit in a standard case? I ask as i could do that for now and then next month buy a new case etc.

mini itx will fit but you'll need a case that will fit a mini itx, with the proper mobo stand off's

I believe photoshop has fairly decent multi-thread support these days, so it should run better on the Athlon x4 than the i3.
