1800X or 7700K ?

I game at 1440P, Things like Ghost Recon Widlands, WoW etc..... and do some Premier Pro work, I'm stuck between the 2 CPU's.

I'm leaning towards Ryzen as it's new but not too sure.

Need peoples input

Well I game on a 165Hz G-Sync monitor and I am leaning towards the 1800X as I do a few hours a week of rendering etc....

Brilliant, It may just be a placebo but I swear some games "feel" smoother compared to the 5930K.

I overclocked it to 4Ghz using only 1.35v, Game and bench stable so far and using the new HWINFO which takes the 20'c offset into account the temps are amazing under a Corsair H110i GT.

Only problem is my 3000MHz Corsair LPX will not run at anything higher than 2133 even when setting timings and volts manually.

Yep, MSI Gaming Pro Carbon, I may have to wait for their next update.
