as to pubg not optimized it has been recently and actually runs very well.if you have a modern monitor with high hz and want the raw fps you get a intel chip.its not just pubg its most games now.

The original graphics engine driving pubg is only optimised for Intel, this is why Ryzen struggles in comparison , also it only uses 4 cores.

They may have updated this since.

PUBG is a bit of fun, but it's a streaming pile of dung as shooters go.

I was playing it and then went straight into bf1, huge difference everything was a lot better.

BF1 exceptionally well multithreaded... That’s the difference, single core performance on Ryzen is the main downfall in many titles.

It is below Intel in that respect but not so much it is a problem. I played a much older game and got over 2400fps

I don't think any laptop, Intel or otherwise will be a patch on your current setup for gaming

Well worth getting the 8700k now as the price has come down,I've gone from ryzen 1600 to it and games are buttery smooth.
