1800xt > 1900?

Hi all,

I not a huge gamer with the only main game I play being oblivion. I am quite happy with my x1800xt (256mb), 3800x2 system but my card struggles a liitle when using textures pack (oblivion). I only game at 1024 so an expensive modern card is wasted on me.

The 1900 (512mb) seems like a good upgrade for me. Do you agree? What card is the range is considered the best?

The X1900XTX 512mb
The X1950XT 512mb
The X1950XTX 512mb

are the ones I would recommend.

I have one and it runs Oblivion on 1600x1200 with good textures

But I would pay no more than 70ish for the above, if you want to spend 100plus consider 3850 pro 512mb/ 3870XT

isnt it simpler and cheaper to buy a HD3850 512 now?

surly if u want better quality the look at the HD3000's as they will offer more performance than the X1900's
the card below will offer higher performance than a x1900, and can play new games, for roughly £20 max more than the fastest 1950 on oc

Thanks for suggestions, i never realised new 'performance cards' were so cheap. However the card lined above is a 256mb, the card I am upgrading to MUST be 512mb+ due to the texture packs I use in game. I think I could pickup a second-hand 512 1900 for around 65ish but would be willing to spend £100 on a new card, if I could get a better performing card in budget then that then I would go with what ever you suggest.
