Hi, after a bit of advice - just built my new PC with the above motherboard but I'm not to sure of a few of the settings within the BIOS and after reading the manual and some google searches am still none the wiser :confused:

I only have SATA drives, 2 SATA hard drives and 1 SATA DVD RW drive.... now the settings I am are;

ICH SATA Control Mode - IDE, RAID, AHCI
and
SATA Port 0-3 Native Mode Enabled or Disabled

I've set it up to AHCI and Enabled 0-3 Native.... i get another BIOS screen after the initial BIOS screen though to do with the AHCI... Now im thinking i've set it up incorrectly and should have gone with IDE??

Has anyone else had experience with this and can advise the best setup?

Thanks :cool:

Yup, IDE for your needs would work best. AHCI is not really needed in your case unless you plan on using SSD. Ensure you have all your devices in the blue slots and not the white.

So if i change it to IDE will i have to rebuild? Thinking about SSD but wont be until next year tbh
