tbh you are at the limit with that Freezer 7, whilst they are great at their price point they do not perform as well as the more expensive ones(obviously). Look at coolers starting around £35/£40 and you will see much better temps. I know it's a bit of cash but it's money well spent and will be useable on anything going forward as well.

Bought one of these yesterday, temps dropped from 80-85 down to 65-70 on my i7 920 at 4.0ghz while running LinX. This cooler is huge though, needs a large case.

im in a similar situation my [email protected] hits 85 c converting an avi file . i dont do it very often but i feel a little bit uncomfortable with them temps . i was looking at the a50 , it looks pretty good for the price . i might order one and if its no good ill slap it on my lads e6600 .
