.

I have tried 3 cables, all of which register at gigabit on my billion 7800n, and all of which deliver 50Mb when connected directly to my superhub from my PC.

Superhub test :
Superhub (modem mode, port 1) -> (gigabit port) PC

7800n test:
Superhub (modem mode, port 1) -> (EWAN port) 7800n (port 1) -> (gigabit port) PC

Same results with my PC and laptop.

I had the 7800n as I knew I was eventually going to switch from ADSL to Cable and wanted a great router for both.

Yeah the superhub has many issues, it's unstable when not in modem mode and has a lot of devices/traffic going through it, wireless is 5-15Mb on N class gear, and it cannot handle 2 360's on XBL at the same time with open NATs.

Yes, that's how I currently have it set up.

That only helps the wireless issue and not the other problems as my 7800n is effectively an expensive switch/AP!

That's howi want it set up. I currently have it set up so the super hub deals with dhcp but it's far from ideal.
