How much do you have to spend, and Haswell is 3 weeks away, so you'd be better off waiting.

And before the mods go nuts, can't talk about sales/buying stuff outside the MM.

I don't have a budget, but I don't want to spend more than is necessary for what I need.

I was looking at getting most of this stuff from the MM (except the GPU which seems to be a good price on OcUK) to cut down on the cost. I imagine Haswell will be overkill for my needs.

Edit: Would sticking with both machines and just buying a capture card for the old desktop work well?

With streaming it's handy having the extra cores to encode the stream so it doesn't affect gaming performance too much. As far as I know Xsplit or any other streamer doesn't seem to use GPU acceleration to help with encodes. Maybe the 8350 is a good shout then...

A bit hard to say since I haven't given Xsplit a proper go since it asks for a licence when I try to stream games.

OBS is a free and superior alternative to XSplit.

StarCraft only utilises 2 cores so I think I would be better off with better performing and more powerful cores.
