Tried it for an hour over the weekend and I have to say... Meh.

I love Halo and the PvP side of things since Halo 2 but my hour session with brother felt stale. Pistol gun mechanics still fun but the whole run wobble and jump and vault isn't my cuppa tea.

Will still get it for the story to coop with the missus. Perhaps the PvP will be more fun then. It's definitely missing something Destiny filled, despite Destiny holding a plot made of muslin.

Not when the gun play mechanics feels weird, your movement plays a bigger role than weapon recoil..
I'm not expecting a Destiny clone. By far I want a Halo series but it's not hooking me up from the PvP side. Storyline will depend heavily on how they develop since Halo 4 was really poor IMO.

Assassination is still fun to do though.
 
I played one round the other night and it was pretty fun. However I died so many times from some weird glowing blade thing, not sure what it was called, 'Phantom...' something I think. It was bloody ridiculous.
 
Yeah i thought it was from the 29th it came on, didn't know it even came up before though. Cheers.
