when i launch my games ive never seen a g sync indicator....
Good, that confirms it's on at least. Did these games stutter before you upgraded to this GPU and monitor? What were your previous GPU and monitor?update: found how to enable g sync indicator and it is indeed on when i play games
But did you have stuttering when using a non-Gsync monitor and your old GPU?if i turn v sync off in both nvidia and in game i get horrible screen tearing, ill try and send a video of it later
when i had my last gpu, i didnt have a g sync monitor. i got the monitor while i didnt have a gpu
it was 144hz to if i set frames to unlimited and i get 80-90 then yes, stuttering screen tearing and the like
if i set refresh rate to 60, and set game lock to 60 the game would be fine and look lovely, overwatch etc looked fine
i have a feeling its a cpu problem though, ive had a few problems before with it being a bad overclock only hitting 4.4. a month or so ago my cpu use to just freeze my pc for like 5 seconds sometimes, is there a way i can figure out if this is a cpu problem?
what do i click once the program is open?Run a stress test like Aida64 and monitor temperatures and clock speeds: https://www.aida64.com/downloads/ODU5MzM1OGE=
There is an option that will display current refresh rate in top right corner.monitor says on OD:
resolutiin: 3440x1440
Max Refresh Rate: 90 hz
Mode: Nvidia G-SYNC
ill try resintalling drivers
Click Tools then Stability Test. Start the test and watch temperatures, they should be below 80C and make sure CPU core clock speeds are what expect them to be and they aren't dropping during the test.what do i click once the program is open?
