As above, soon we will have the black friday and january sales upon us, what tv if any have you got on your radar?
me i am looking at these, opinions welcome

SONY BRAVIA KD75XG8096BU 75" Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR LED TV with Google Assistant

SAMSUNG QE75Q60RATXXU 75" Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR QLED TV with Bixby

My TV budget is around the £300-400 mark, so I'm hoping to get something decent with the sales. I'm obviously not expecting the earth, but I'd like to think I'll be able to find a 50-55" that's at least passable. I'm not looking at anything specific mind you, I don't need any SMART features or anything fancy, just a good quality screen within my budget. It'll be connected to an HTPC, so I'll be streaming media and watching blurays etc from that. Some very light gaming, mostly emu' of older titles and single player stuff, nothing online/competitive.

Any advice welcome as it's an area I'm a bit lost in tbh.

Not intending to hijack the thread btw! Apologies. lol

Am so Glad I bought my 65" Sony AF9 last year so I don't have to paid out thousands of pounds this year on a TV :)
But then again I would like too buy another OLED (only a 55" ) for the living room to replace the 50" plasma that in there :(

Maybe if I can get a 55" LG OLED for below 1k I buy one

65in LGC9. Lost job as I was close to buying it so waiting for gainful employment again before I buy at which point something better may be about. Chose this model as picture is good although not as good as a similar Panny but this has full fat hdmi 2.1 on all hdmi inputs (to go with the new av receiver ill be getting at same time)

I always like to buy an high end TV as it normally something I kept for over 10 years and get a hell lot of use out of so am happy with spending 2k+ for one...
